Yahoo on Thursday announced a new web-only Lifestyle show called “Bumps, Babies and Beyond” hosted by Myleene Klass. If you’re unfamiliar with the former popstars work, she wrote the book “My Bump and Me” which the series is based off.
The 48-part 4-minute show series will features Klass speaking to experts and other parents about parenting.
According to Yahoo’s Managing Director and VP of Sales James Wildman, the series signals an intent by Yahoo to provide more engaging content for consumers and advertisers.
The series, developed by TwoFour and GroupM Entertainment, a media investment management business, is being tested as a means to create new content financing models, while attracting more commercial partnerships.
Foster told NMA:
“There has been a lack of funding for high quality productions in the online space, which is something we are looking to address as we grow our digital business and capabilities,” said Foster.
Klass isn’t the first celebrity to receive a channel, Yahoo in June signed a deal with Cat Deeley for the company’s OMG channel in both the UK and US.
