Break Media- the company behind such bro-centric properties as MadeMan, Holy Taco and Chickipedia and a strong hold on the 18-34 dude demographic- has entered into a deal with Reveille to bring more original content to their stable of sites.
Reveille, known for acclaimed TV projects including Ugly Betty, The Office and MasterChef, has seen success on the web with more than 20 web series including Real-Life Makeover with Holly Robinson Peete, Appetite for Life with Andrew Zimmerman and Fit to Boom. The partnership is a big move for both Break and Reveille following big hires earlier in 2011, and David Anderson, head of Reveille Digital, commented on the partnership in a press release:
“Working with Break gives us the opportunity to bring premium content to an engaged and passionate audience. We are excited to work with a partner who shares our vision that great programming can begin on the web, and extend across all platforms, and meet the audience wherever they are.”
According to Break Media Group, the sites under the Break umbrella- including Break.com- receive more than 140 million views each month to their video and editorial content. Greg Siegel, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Break Media and former Endeavor agent, said in the same release:
“This collaboration brings together the best of both worlds in digital video… We’re thrilled to partner Reveille’s strengths in developing successful online series with Break’s strengths in reaching and engaging with massive audiences across platforms.”
Under the terms of the deal, Reveille Digital will produce “a slate of original comedic digital pilots” for all Break sites.
