A large part of the Huffington Post’s success has come from their user friendly technology which allows for hyper fast responsiveness from editors and writers while providing useful tools for users and now the man behind much of the company’s platform, Paul Berry, has announced plans to step back from his current day-to-day operations.
While rumors have pointed to Berry eventually exiting the company a HuffPost spokesman says Berry will be “thinking directionally about what we should be doing” and will remain at the company in a full-time capacity.
Taking over the everyday tech operations for the Huffington Post will be recent Google hire Tim Dierks who is currently serving as the company’s senior vice president of engineering.
Shake ups at the Huffington Post have been quite regular lately with “Big News” editor Saul Hansell leaving to join Betaworks, AOL chief of strategy and senior VP of business development Jared Grusd leaving for Spotify and various other longtime HuffPost developers recently taking their leave from the company.
