Windows Phone 7 users now have the option to stream music from their devices using the Spotify music service.
The WP7 option is the seventh mobile app created by Spotify and was developed with the help of Microsoft engineers which should mean a flawless integration.
With the announcement Spotify now provides more mobile app types then any other current music streaming service on the net.
In a blog post Spotify revealed the applications main selling points which include:
- Search, browse & play our catalogue of millions of tracks
- Explore & play your friends’ playlists, top artists and tracks
- Stream over WiFi or 2.5/3G – all your existing playlists are available
- Offline playlists – play your music without an internet connection
- On-the-fly sync – every track you add to a playlist appears on mobile and computer
- What’s New view
- Receive music from friends via the inbox
- Starred tracks – tag all your favourites into a special list
It’s important to remember that Spotify for mobile devices required a Premium subscription for streaming purposes.
