Music streaming service MOG announced on Tuesday that their monthly average users base grew to 160,000 in October, a 264% increase.
The company’s growth announcement comes just one month after MOG integrated their service with Facebook. MOG’s free service launched last month which provides Facebook users with access to the company’s entire catalog of over 13 million songs.
With the company’s new Facebook integration MOG is expected to obtain two million monthly users by the end of 2011.
Speaking about the company’s growth CEO and Founder David Hyman wrote:
“This is the best distribution platform we’ve ever had.”
Hyman goes on to add:
Listening to music is a social experience and integrating MOG with Facebook has allowed listeners to share the experience, and our service, with their entire social network. We have a great product and as more and more people continue to discover MOG online, we expect our numbers to continue to grow exponentially.”
Competitor Rdio in comparison witnessed 64% MAU growth over the last 30 days while Spotify witnessed a 35% increase.
