The Hollywood Reporter (THR.com) has announced that Patrick Kevin Day has been named as their new deputy reporter and will report directly to THR.com Editor Joseph Kapsch. Day and Kapsch previously worked together in relaunching the online section of the Los Angeles Times Entertainment website and the awards site The Envelope.
According to Kapsch:
“The transformation of The Hollywood Reporter by Janice Min in print and online has been astounding and the addition of Patrick only strengthens the already stellar team in place,” while he added “Patrick is a top notch journalist and I’m beyond excited to welcome him to the team where his expertise will be instrumental to shaping THR.com’s coverage.”
The Hollywood Reporter has grown by 131% over the last year in terms of site traffic, bringing in 4.4 million unique monthly visitors.
While serving as deputy online editor at the Times Day was also responsible for frequent contributions to the sites blogs including 24 Frames, the Times’ movie blog, Hero Complex and Show Tracker.

Day is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he studied English and Cinema.
