Google on Wednesday implemented several changes to the Google News website, making it more “tablet-friendly” for iPad and Google Android tablet users.
Among the sites new optimized look is a homepage and section pages that feature columns so users can view the page in portrait or landscape mode without losing part of the pages.
Google has also added a menu to the top of the screen for easier navigation, while finger-swiping is supported via multimedia strips found in extended story boxes.
Google’s edition picker is also now more user-friendly.
