Parul Sehgal is joining NPR as the company’s new digital associate editor for books.
Previously Sehgal served as the editor for Publishers Weekly and has worked for The New York Times Book Review, The Literary Review and various other publications.
Breaking news to their employees Arts & Life senior supervisor producer Joe Matazzoni sent the following email to employees:
[Exerpt] “She won the National Book Critics Circle Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing last year for her own elegant, incisive criticism… Parul is a graduate of McGill University and holds an MFA from Columbia. She grew up partly in DC and is happy to be moving back to the area, where she still has family.”
Do you think Sehgal will be a good fit for the digital books division at NPR?
